Fantastic films and some interesting art exhibitions. Also keep an eye on the music and theatre as there are some excellent productions at a much more affordable price than the West End (I saw Waiting for Godot here in 2006 and it was superb).

Excellent Arts venue. Lots of different and eclectic things going on. If you're sick of run of the mill west end shows and TV then go to the Barbican. See stuff that is never on telly and would never get mainstream. Plus a cinema where people behave themselves.. For example I went to the Steve Reich festival there in 2006. Fantastic - 11 brilliant concerts.
